Katherine D. Seelman, Ph.D. is the Associate Dean of Disability Programs and Professor of Rehabilitation Science and Technology at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Pittsburgh, USA. She is co-research director of the National Science Foundation Quality of Life Technology Engineering Research Center. Dr. Seelman is a member of a World Health Organization nine-member international panel developing the first world report on disability. Seelman served as director of the U.S. national institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) under President Clinton. She has been the recipient of many awards and is widely published.
