Location

Coastlines of fine sand and clear water abound on the island of Mallorca, the commercial centre of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing
(ASC 2008)

The twelfth IASTED International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing (ASC 2008) will create an international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experience in the areas of soft computing and artificial intelligence. ASC 2008 will strengthen relations between industry practitioners, research laboratories, and universities. All papers submitted to this conference will be peer evaluated by at least two reviewers. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution. The conference chair makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the paper.

Conference Chair

Prof. Angel Pasqual del Pobil from Jaume I University, Spain will be the Conference Chair for ASC 2008. He has been involved in robotics research for the last nineteen years, and his past and present research interests include motion planning, visually-guided grasping, humanoid robots, service robotics, and mobile manipulators.
