Submit Papers

The deadline for submissions to CATE 2007 is April 15, 2007. Please submit your papers as well as proposals for tutorials, special sessions, and panel sessions before the deadline to ensure inclusion in the review process. See the Call for Papers here.

CATE 2007 will take place from October 8 – 10, 2007.

Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China, a modern metropolis with the charm of the ancient East, is the nation's political and cultural center. Conference Chair

Dr. Vladimir Uskov is the CATE 2007 conference chair and Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Bradley University, USA. He is also Co-Director of Bradley University's InterLabs Research Institute and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Advanced Technology for Learning.

Local Chair

Dr. Ronghaui Huang is a professor at the School of Education Technology at Beijing Normal University, PRC. He has long been engaged in the research on multimedia and networking technology; information security; educational technology as well as knowledge engineering.

Keynote Speaker

Prof. Toshio Okamoto is a Full Professor in the Graduate School of Information Systems at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC), Tokyo. His areas of research are in e-Learning, Educational Technology, Methodology of ICT utilization in education, Curriculum Development, Computer based Collaborative Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Chair 2008 International Software Competition

Dr. Jean-Pierre Gerval is head of the Computer Sciences Department at the "Institut Supérieur de l'Electronique et du Numérique" in Brest, France. His research interests include Distributed Virtual Reality and Virtual Environments especially dedicated to pedagogical applications.
