Professor Ming Lei obtained his PhD in System Engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1993. Currently, he is a full professor in the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University in China. He has been a visiting professor at institutions in Japan and the United States. In addition to being a member of the editorial of Economy Science, Professor Ming Lei has served as a council member for many Chinese environmental societies and is also a Senior Expert for the Chinese National Green GDP Accounting Project. He has received numerous awards, most recently from the Distinguished Talent Foundation of the Ministry of Education in China (2008). His professional interests include decision analysis, national accounting and statistics, and sustainable development.
