Dr. Susan C. Aldridge is the president of University of Maryland University College (UMUC) in the United States. She has more than 20 years of experience in higher education with an emphasis on providing academic services to adults who need coursework to fit their schedules and career goals. Before coming to UMUC Dr. Aldridge served as vice chancellor for Troy University's University College and eCampus in Alabama, a role she held since 2001. Prior to joining Troy University, Dr. Aldridge served as a faculty member of the National University of Singapore, a lecturer at Hong Kong University, division director for the Denver Regional Council of Governments, and vice president of Aldridge and Associates, Inc., which researched, designed, and managed national and international education institutes. Dr. Aldridge received her doctorate and master's degree, both in public administration, from the University of Colorado, and her bachelor's degree from Colorado Women's College.
