Dr. Vovides is the Director of Instructional Design, Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning, The George Washington University. She designs and develops instructional web-based materials and works with instructors on research related to teaching and learning. She has extensive training experience in instructional technologies from the use of Blackboard to digital portfolio creation to creating podcasts, and more. She is involved in several research projects: the use of digital portfolios and metacognitive awareness, technology acceptance for web-based environments using Bayesian Networks, the use of meta-statements in podcasts, and the use of audio and animation in enhanced podcasts.
