Professor Dr. Tien D. Bui obtained his PhD in atomic Physics from York University in Toronto, Canada in 1971. He is currently a full professor of Computer Science at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. His research interests include wavelet transform and its applications in image and signal processing, pattern recognition, image and video analysis, and machine intelligence. Dr. Bui is also the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution and Information Processing as well as the Transactions of the Society for Modelling and Simulation.
