Dr. René V. Mayorga is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Engineering, at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Currently, Dr. Mayorga is pioneering the development of Computational Wisdom (as an extension of Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing) and MetaBotics (as a generalization of Intelligent Robotics) as new disciplines. He is involved in the development of Paradigms for Intelligent/Wise Systems and MetaBots; and their application to Human-Computer (Multi-Media, Virtual Reality) Interaction/Interface, Software Engineering, Control, Robotics, Manufacturing, and Automation.

Dr. José Negrete Martínez is the founder of the Mexican Artificial Intelligence Society (Sociedad Mexicana de Inteligencia Artificial), and acted as its first president in the early 1980s. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Universidad Veracruzana, México. He is also a Research Fellow on Robotic Brains at the Instituto e Investigaciones Biomédicas, UNAM. His research focuses on hardware technologies, with emphasis on modular organization. Recently, he has also been developing research activities on Sapient Systems; in particular on Sapient Robots. It is worth noting that the Universidad Veracruzana has recently granted to Dr. Negrete Martinez an Honoris Causam Doctorate.
