The 15th IASTED International Conference on
Control and Applications
August 26 – 28, 2013
The International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED)
Nestled between world-class beaches, lush tropical forests, and picturesque green volcanic hills lays Honolulu, the crown jewel of the Hawai’ian Islands. The capital and largest city in the islands, Honolulu thrums with the exciting pulse of a modern metropolis, while maintaining a welcoming, laid-back sensibility.
As a nexus of Oceanic, Western, and Asian cultures, to visit Honolulu is to experience a unique blend of cultures found nowhere else in the world: where else can you taste hamburger patties drenched in teriyaki sauce with a side of poi? And whether you’re in the mood for fine dining or a just a quick bite, you will find plenty of options from sleek bistros to neighborhood food trucks to satisfy your appetite.
Visitors can expect plenty to do. Wander the palm tree-lined streets to discover the lively local arts and crafts scene, or hike the oceanside hills for views that have to be seen to be believed.
Last, and certainly not least, Honolulu is famous for its beaches, and with good reason. At Waikiki, fine white sand meets the inviting turquoise waters of the Pacific to make one of the finest beaches in the world, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and sunbathing. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Waikiki.
