Location
Phuket, an island off the south-west coast of Thailand, is a gem that many travelers have become enchanted with. Whether in rain or shine, there is always something to do in Phuket. The sublime mix of Sino-Portuguese influence creates a unique blend of colonial and Chinese architecture. The beaches and scenery are unrivalled, as can be seen in the beautiful Phang Nga Bay located in the island’s northeast. Promthep, arguably one of the most scenic view points on the island, affords wonderful views of Phi Phi Island and a majestic vantage point to see some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. For the more adventurous travelers, there is plenty to see on Bangla Road for a glimpse into exciting Thai nightlife. A trip to Phuket is not complete without a stop at some of the island’s many famous temples, the most famous of which is definitely the Big Buddha statue on top of the Nakkerd hills. Though considered by many to be a resort get-away, there is much more to the island than simply soaking up the sun on some of the finest beaches in the world.
