Biography of the Area Chair
Dr. Yan Zhu is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University. At this university, he also serves as Assistant Director of the Center of Modern Management, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Director of the Medical Health Management Research Center. He received his master’s degree and a doctorate in engineering in 1998 in the Design and Research Institute of Nuclear Energy Technology at Tsinghua University, and did further doctoral and postdoctoral work in economics and management from 1998 to 2000.
Dr. Zhu has won numerous awards at Tsinghua University, and has authored and co-authored many scientific articles and conference papers. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Association, and has been a visiting scholar at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
