Alex Gammerman is Professor of Computer Science and Director of Computer Learning Research Centre at Royal Holloway, University of London. His current research interest lies in the fields of machine learning, inductive/transductive inference and intelligent data analysis. Areas in which these techniques have been applied include medical diagnosis, forensic science, object recognition and fault diagnosis. Professor Gammerman is Fellow of Royal Statistical Society and British Computer Society. He has published over a hundred research papers and several books on computational learning and probabilistic reasoning.
