Dr. J.E. Smith currently runs Composable Logic, Inc. - a consulting group involved in communication and medical applications. His research interests are in distributed complex applications, modelling, and formal methods.
Dr. Smith has a 30 year track record in the acquisition, management, research, and development of Advanced Development/Technology Programs. Recent efforts have included the construction of a commercial wireless backhaul network operations centre, a multitude of software defined radio projects, and a distributed RHIO communications design. Dr. Smith is one of 3 co-chairs of the OMG Software-Based Communications Task Force and also participates with the OMG Ontology working group.
Dr. Jeff Smith received his PhD from Northeastern University in Computer Systems Engineering, MS in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University, MS in Computer Science from East Texas State University, and BS in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
