GETTING THERE
The Jorge
Chavez International Airport
The Jorge Chavez International Airport is Peru’s major
international airport. It is located outside the city of
Lima only 15-20 minutes drive from the Sheraton Lima Hotel
and Casino. From the airport, delegates have a number of
options for getting to the Sheraton Lima Hotel and Casino.
Each of them is highlighted below and described in detail
with further information at the following website: http://www.lap.com.pe/
1) BUS
SERVICE
There are no buses available directly on the airport grounds
and can thus only be accessed by finding your way to the
nearest bus stop located on the main avenue leading into
the city centre Avenue Faucett. Both regular public transit
buses and minibuses (combis) can be used.
2) TAXI
Taxis are considered the best way to get around in Lima
especially when carrying more than one piece of luggage.
Taxis will be lined up at the terminals and you can simply
hail them on the street by pointing your index finger to
the ground. It is recommended that traveler’s use
the registered taxis lined up directly outside the arrival
Halls. For more information on using taxis see the Peru
Information Section.
3) RENTAL
CAR
There are a number of car rental agencies at the airport:
Avis, Hertz, Budget and National.
