LOCATION

CNIS 2006 will be held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Founded in 1630, Cambridge is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in all of North America. Just across the Charles River from metropolitan Boston, today it is a vibrant and diverse city packed with world-class attractions. Visitors can arrange to go on walking tours of Harvard University and MIT, sit in the famed public squares, browse through the world’s largest concentration of bookstores, or just enjoy a coffee in the café-lined brick streets while taking in local artisans and street performers. These prestigious academic institutions bring a one of a kind international charm to small town Cambridge, filling it with first-class restaurants and specialty stores that cater to the large international student body and faculty living in the area. A quick trip over the Longfellow Bridge will take you into the heart of Boston, a bustling modern city steeped in American history. Here, visitors can hop on one of many historic tour trolleys and visit some of America’s greatest landmarks. From Paul Revere’s House to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Library, there is no better way to spend an autumn afternoon than enjoying the vibrant foliage and breathtaking charm of this lively city.
