Here are a few suggestions of Western Canadian attractions that should not be
missed before or after the conference.

Banff Townsite and Banff National Park
The conference is being held in the town of Banff, in the heart of the picturesque Banff

National Park. The oldest of Canada’s national parks, it spans over 6000 square kilometres of stunning Rocky Mountain landscapes and features a variety of recreational activities for every visitor.   • Cave and Basin National Historic Site of Canada

  • Lake Louise and the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

  • The Calgary Exhibition and Stampede: July 7th – July 16th, 2006

    Every summer for ten days, a little western

  • Prince’s Island Park / Eau Claire Festival Market
    Located downtown next to the Bow river, Eau Claire Market and Prince’s

    performers, Shakespearian players, bikers and roller-bladers. During the

  • Canada Olympic Park

    This year-round sport and tourist attraction
    celebrates Calgary’s 1988 Olympic Winter
    Games. This comprehensive centre features
    an Olympic museum as well as some of the

    feeling brave, take a ride down the summer

Canmore
Located 15 minutes east of Banff and nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains,
the town of Canmore is a hidden gem. This picture-perfect mountain town, offers
